Introducing the Communicators Club

Friends,
I know how isolating communications work can feel—especially in a church or nonprofit setting. Whether it’s your whole job, part of your job, or something you somehow ended up doing, you’re often figuring things out on your own.
This idea actually came from my friend Jaime Cowan, a long-time and deeply experienced communications professional. Jaime’s expertise and generosity have encouraged me more times than I can count, and when she suggested creating a space for other communicators to connect, I knew she was right. So together, we’re launching the Communicators Club for Churches and Faith-Based Nonprofits in September.
It’s a free, laid-back, monthly Zoom meetup where we’ll share ideas, talk shop, and learn from each other in a welcoming, no-pressure space. Think of it as a coffee break with people who actually get what you do.
How it works:
Who it’s for: Anyone handling communications—regardless of size, budget, or job title
When: First Wednesday of each month at 12:30 p.m. Eastern / 11:30 a.m. Central (we'll start in September)
Where: Zoom (email me for the link)
Cost: Free
Format: One hour of open conversation around a monthly theme—no script, no slides, just real people exchanging ideas and encouragement.
This is one of my first steps in exploring new, creative ways to support communications professionals in the faith-based world. If you’ve been looking for a place to swap ideas, ask questions, or just feel less alone in your work, I hope you’ll join us.
We're keeping it low-key for now; email me at christen@digitalcongregations.com if you have questions or would like to be added to the Club list.
